Mountain-loving Astrophysicist with a Compass and a Constellation Chart
I am a qualified Mountain Leader with over seven years of teaching experience, skilled in guiding groups through diverse terrains while sharing my passion for both the natural world and the night sky. My background enables me to deliver engaging instruction on topics ranging from trigonometry to practical navigation skills, ensuring participants are both informed and inspired.
As a seasoned Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Supervisor and Assessor, I have extensive experience supporting young people through challenging expeditions across moorlands, international trails, and even tropical jungles—always with a Sci-Fi reference at the ready.
I hold a FROS 3 first aid qualification and currently serve as a Casualty Carer with SuLSAR, providing critical support to search and rescue operations. I am actively expanding my first aid expertise through involvement with the local Casualty First Responder team, with the goal of enhancing my skills to FREC 3 and beyond.
When not in the field, I can be found stargazing or debating the merits of warp drive versus hyperspace travel.
