The First Responder On Scene (FROS) Level 3 course is a comprehensive, immersive training experience that goes far beyond basic first aid. You’ll develop the skills, confidence, and situational awareness needed to act quickly, make informed decisions, and take control in emergency situations—before the arrival of emergency medical services.
Training is delivered through practical, hands-on scenarios that mirror real-life emergencies. You’ll start by learning how to assess and secure a scene, approach casualties safely, and carry out a structured patient assessment. From there, you’ll build up to advanced interventions like airway management using adjuncts, oxygen therapy, and managing catastrophic bleeding using tourniquets and haemostatic dressings.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn to manage a wide range of medical emergencies—from heart attacks and strokes to seizures, diabetes, and severe allergic reactions. You’ll also be trained in the management of traumatic injuries including spinal damage, fractures, burns, and head injuries. Emphasis is placed not only on treatment but also on communication, teamwork, and effective casualty handover to emergency services.
By the end of the course, you will have developed the technical skills, practical experience, and decision-making ability to step forward with confidence when someone’s life depends on it.
