First Response Emergency Care (FREC) Level 3

First Response Emergency Care (FREC) Level 3 course is a regulated, nationally recognised qualification designed for those who may need to deliver immediate medical care in pre-hospital environments.

Higher-risk environments demand advanced skills

Construction sites often involve heavy machinery, working at height, electrical systems, and hazardous materials. FREC 3 equips responders to handle serious trauma, such as crush injuries, amputations, severe bleeding, and airway compromise—beyond the scope of basic first aid.

Compliance with CDM and HSE guidance

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and HSE guidance, employers must ensure adequate first aid provision based on risk level. For remote sites, lone workers, or complex jobs, a higher level of first aid training like FREC 3 is recommended or required.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW & FAW)
Our Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is ideal for school staff who may be the first to respond in an emergency. This one-day course covers essential first aid skills such as CPR, choking, dealing with unconscious casualties, and managing common injuries. It’s practical, hands-on, and specifically adapted to reflect the real scenarios that occur in school settings—from playground bumps to classroom incidents. Whether you’re a teacher, support assistant, or lunchtime supervisor, this course ensures you’re confident and capable when it matters most. For a High Risk version of the training Click Here

For designated first aiders or those with additional responsibilities, our First Aid at Work (FAW) course provides a more comprehensive, three-day training experience. Covering a wider range of conditions and emergencies—including asthma, anaphylaxis, head injuries, and more—it’s ideal for key staff members such as office managers, SEND coordinators, and site staff. With blended learning options available, we can work with your school to deliver training in a way that minimises disruption while ensuring compliance with HSE and Ofsted requirements.

Lone Worker Seriously Injured

Working alone in remote or high-risk environments can leave individuals vulnerable when accidents happen — especially on farms, where heavy machinery and isolation increase the risk. Our Lone Worker: Seriously Injured course is designed to give lone workers the confidence and practical skills to respond effectively to life-threatening injuries when no immediate help is available. It meets HSE guidelines and aligns with Red Tractor health and safety standards.

This half-day course focuses on self-administered first aid techniques, including bleeding control, injury management, and how to stay safe and alert while waiting for emergency services. It’s ideal for farmers, agricultural workers, and anyone who regularly works alone in rural or industrial settings. The course can be delivered on your farm (minimum of 6 participants) or at our training centre in Suffolk.

Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (RQF)

The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is designed to provide individuals with a basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices in the construction industry. It is ideal for those who are new to construction work or looking to gain their CSCS Green Labourer Card, which is often a legal or site requirement for entry-level roles.

This qualification covers essential topics such as risk assessment, manual handling, working at height, fire safety, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). It ensures learners understand how to identify common hazards on site and how to work safely alongside others.

The course is suitable for complete beginners and is delivered in a clear, accessible way. Upon successful completion, learners receive a certificate that is recognised by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) as part of the application process for the Green Card.

Fire Safety Training

Our Fire Safety Awareness course provides essential training for all staff, helping them understand how to prevent, identify, and respond to fire risks in the workplace. Fully compliant with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, this course is ideal for schools, offices, and community settings looking to meet their legal duties and promote a culture of safety.

Delivered on-site in a practical 3-hour session for up to 12 people, the course covers fire prevention, evacuation procedures, how fires spread, alarm systems, and safe behaviour in an emergency. An optional hands-on fire extinguisher practical can be included to boost confidence in using firefighting equipment effectively and safely.
